Light conditions specific filtered and tinted spectacle lenses

Scientific research has shown that special color filtering glasses absorb the rays in the visible spectrum in some retinal diseases, increasing the contrast and accelerating the eye's adaptation to variable light conditions.

There is no standard criterion for defining and prescribing special filter glasses. There are many different therapeutic/colour filtering lens options for degenerative eye disorders. After making a comparison and subjectively evaluating the visual comfort provided by the filter lenses, the patient decides which filter lens s/he gets the best results from. Special filter lenses have a high success rate, as they minimize the shock of very bright, high-contrast light.

Therapeutic/tint spectacle lenses with visible light scattering, which are available in many varieties for different wavelengths such as 450nm, 480nm, 500nm, 540nm, 550nm and 600nm, are indicated for vision complications caused by the aforementioned disorders and aim to increase the patient's quality of life.
